Postal strike slows down mail

Postal strike slows down mail
The postie strike expected to continue until Friday will slow down mail delivery, the union representing postal workers warns.
Up to 20,000 postal workers across Australia walked off the job or were involved in rolling stoppages on Wednesday in an effort to secure a better wage deal.
CEPU NSW state secretary Jim Metcher said services will further deteriorate.
“They will not improve,” he said.
Australia Post spokesman Alex Twomey said he was confident mail services would continue in most states.
“We’ve got excellent arrangements in other states and we’re getting a lot of support from out staff and having very minor disruptions, so we’ve got not a lot of concerns,” he said.
