The process to bid for Commonwealth Government contracts under $200,000 is being streamlined.
The Department of Finance has said that it will be “cutting complexity, eliminating repetition, and reducing unnecessary contractual burdens,” with the aim of getting government and industry back to doing business.
The key change to the current process is the creation of the Commonwealth Contracting Suite: a suite of documents which will provide a consistent bidding process for contracts under $200k.
The Department of Finance is conducting brief information sessions to assist businesses to understand these changes and how they could save on the cost of bidding.
