Antonette Golikidis, founder of Little Innoscents, was announced as the AusMumpreneur of the Year at the 2010 AusMumpreneur Awards in Brisbane last week.
The AusMumpreneur Awards, held during a Connect2Mums online business conference, recognise businesses that successfully balance work and family life, across categories including product development and services and innovation. Golikidis was presented with the AusMumpreneur Award because of the success of her Little Innoscents range of Australian Certified Organic natural baby skin care products. She began the range after struggling to find natural, organic and affordable products while she was pregnant.
The Awards are a wonderful opportunity to recognise how important it is to have a healthy balance between work and family, according to AusMumpreneur winner Ms Golikidis.
“This is such a huge milestone for myself and my business. To be a part of something like Connect2Mums with like-minded mums in business is very inspirational,” Ms Golikidis said.
“All that hard work and trying to spend time with our kids all pays off. I’m very excited and honoured to win this award and I hope I do Connect2Mums proud in the next year,” Ms Golikidis added.
The Awards celebrated the motivation and inspiration, shared by Australian and New Zealand mums and dads, behind building a small business around family life. Other noted commendations given out on the night included the Dadpreneur of the Year Daniel Gibney for Em’s 4 Kids and Product Innovation winners Dannielle Michaels & Monique Filer for b.box.
Queensland Women minister Karen Struthers attended the gala event and Queensland Premier Anna Bligh recorded a special video message for the night.
Connect2Mums provides a safe and supportive environment for women with online businesses to get together and share information, network and gain support.
