Startup Blueprint, a startup program driven by PayPal and Braintree, will offer Australian tech startups the opportunity to monetize business and connect with 152 million active account holders.
The program sees PayPal and Braintree join forces in processing transactions, offering tech startups free payment processing of up to US $1.5 million with PayPal and US $100,000 with Braintree.
John Lunn, Senior Global Director, PayPal and Braintree Developer & Startup Relations, says that the program will help startups ‘get up and running.’
“This program empowers payment capabilities and supports each startups growth,” Lunn said.
In an interesting addition, Startup Blueprint enables startups to work with others for support. Startup advisors are provided, which include individuals that have successfully founded their own companies.
In order for a tech startup to be eligible for Startup Blueprint, their business focus must be on the creation of software or services for mobile or web software; be under five years old or earn under US $3 million per annum, and be privately owned; and be nominated by a Startup Blueprint partner, such as an incubator, accelerator or venture capitalist.
