Past winners’ success stories

The impact of the BizGiver grant can be substantial. For instance, Rita Shamoun, a Sydney-based speech pathologist and the most recent grant recipient, used her $5,000 prize to invest in recording equipment for her popular podcast, Wine with Wita. Rita shared her experience:

“I started thinking about how I could use the $5,000 and realised I could really use it for equipment,” says Rita. “As a small business, it’s important to invest in things that help you grow. Winning [BizGiver] was a confirmation that Wine with Wita was something special.”

Rita continues, “Everyone has a gift, and once you discover and embrace it, pursue it. BizCover can support you in growing your brand, so why not give it a go?” says Rita.

In addition to the grand prize of a $5,000 small business grant, BizGiver can also act as a platform for SMEs, promoting their business across various channels and introducing it to potential new customers. In Western Australia, Kate, owner of florist Sir Botanical, was a finalist in the last round. “Entering the competition itself was so easy and seamless. My advice to anyone else thinking of entering BizGiver is just to do it.”

Beyond the grand prize, BizGiver serves as a platform to promote small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by increasing their visibility across various channels, potentially connecting them with new customers and clients.
