A recent study conducted by Robert Walters, has found that 29 percent of Australian employees have been tempted to move to another state/territory to find better working opportunities.
The Employee Insights Survey of 560 Australian professionals, found that of those respondents considering a relocation, Victoria is seen to offer the best career opportunities (35 percent), followed by New South Wales (25 percent) and Queensland (22 percent).
Professionals in HR are most likely to consider a move at 58 percent, followed by those working in risk management and compliance (44 percent). On a state-by-state breakdown, those in South Australia are most likely to consider a move, with nearly 38 percent admitting they have been temped to jump ship.
Commenting on the results of the survey, James Nicholson, Managing Director of Robert Walters said that this can be viewed as good news for employers who are looking to re-build teams.
“The available talent pool is increasingly being enriched by those with national and international skills and experience.”
