MYOB has appointed Don Gregg as Partner Relations Manager to link together external stakeholders for MYOB, including accountants, retailers and developers.
Mr Gregg will be responsible for managing and enhancing MYOB’s relationships with its extensive network of certified consultants, bookkeepers, software developers, education providers and retailers. He will also drive the development of new partnerships in the network.
Mr Gregg has over a decade of broad general management experience including extensive marketing and sales experience in the retail banking, education and franchised retail industries, and joins MYOB after 12 months of consulting businesses on growth strategies, operations, structure and market information needs.
Speaking about his appointment, Mr Gregg said: “Partners are vital to MYOB’s future success and I’m looking forward to leading the Partner Relations team to further strengthen and deepen our relationships with our extensive network of partners. My experience running a small business and being a franchisor
enables me to understand the needs and challenges of MYOB clients and helps me understand the perspective of our partners.”
Mr Gregg’s appointment comes at a time that MYOB is looking for users of its traditionally separate products (professional accounting firms and businesses were running on individual and separate software) to come under a single MYOB ecosystem linked via the ‘cloud’ online with the company’s LiveAccounts system.
With LiveAccounts MYOB is looking to create a common ecosystem to bring together SME customers and their accountants as well as tie in external third party application development around the MYOB LiveAccounts product. Mr Gregg’s appointment creates a common overarching perspective to manage stakeholders interests and develop this unified cloud platform still in its infancy.
MYOB Chief Executive Officer Tim Reed said: “We are pleased to have an executive of Don’s calibre joining the management team at MYOB. This appointment demonstrates MYOB’s commitment to our partners and is just one of several appointments at MYOB designed to bolster the bench strength at a time of increasing momentum in our Australian and New Zealand business.”
