The online advertising market appears to be recovering, according to The Australian newspaper.
The Australian reports that forward ad bookings for some publishers suggest December quarter revenues could be 20 percent higher than a year ago, indicating the sector could return to pre-downturn growth rates.
The signs of recovery seem to be strengthening. Two weeks ago, News Corp chairman and chief executive Rupert Murdoch told an investor conference US advertising markets were “much better than they were four months ago” and the outlook for Australia was also strong; while Yahoo7 chief executive Rohan Lund said he sees “a lot of activity for the December quarter.”
