Jucy grows Australian fleet to 550

This month car and campervan rental company Jucy Rentals announces the release of it’s upgraded Choppa campervan. This is in response to the growing demand for campervan holidays in Australia, with data showing a four percent increase in stays in caravan parks and camping grounds last year.

JucyAccording to data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) there has been an increase in tourists staying in caravan parks and camping grounds from 8,400 people in the year ending December 2008, to 40,887 in the year ending December 2009. The new Choppa campervan is set to hit Australian roads by August 2010.

A Nissan El Grand make, the new Jucy Choppa can be recognised by its signature bright green and purple exterior. Sleeping up to four people, the upgraded Choppa campervan has an electric roof pod that opens to reveal a double bed, also known as the ‘Penthouse’. Equipped with a full sized fridge, double gas cooker and two flat screen TVs with DVD players, the Choppa is the ideal vehicle to explore Australia in comfort.

“We are very excited about the new Choppa campervan and hope that our customers will love the new features,” says Tim Alpe, co-founder of Jucy Rentals.

“We are constantly looking for ways to improve our business so that our customers could have the best Jucy experience possible.”

“In 2010 we plan to roll out 150 of the new Choppas to keep up with the demand for Jucy in Australia,” says Alpe. “We have been very well received in Australia and aim to cement our position as one of Australasia’s fastest growing independent rental companies.”

The addition of the new Choppa campervan brings Jucy’s Australian fleet to 550, reflecting Jucy Rental’s rapid growth since first entering Australia in 2008 with 10 campervans.

Jucy Choppa campervans also contain two double beds, a sink with a 25 litre tank, a CD player and radio, linen, two picnic chairs and kitchenware (cutlery, frying pan, saucepan, kettle & bowls), to make the Jucy journey as comfortable as possible.
