Voyager appoints new COO

Stuart Hunter has been appointed to take up Voyager’s newly created Chief Operations Officer role; a position designed to ensure growth for the independent travel management company.

Hunter will be based in Melbourne, and be responsible for managing operations across Voyager’s three locations in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. His responsibilities will include human resources, procurement, Voyager’s Global Distribution Systems (GDS), SERKO Online, general technology and related process enhancements.

“Stuart will add further depth to our team at Voyager, enabling us to move into new markets, work towards our ambitious growth targets and develop market leading offerings to our travel management and leisure clients,” Voyager CEO Richard Savva said.

Hunter joins Voyager after working for IBM as Senior Sourcing Specialist for two and a half years, where he was responsible for developing solutions for corporations, with a focus on operations business change to achieve cost savings and efficient practices.
