Five Victorian small businesses have been named among 10 finalists in the 2009 Dell Small Business Excellence Awards, proving that Victoria really is “ the place to be.”
Now in its second year in Australia, the awards recognise IT innovation in the small to medium business sector.
Graeme Newey, director of Excom Education and one of the award’s judges said the 10 finalists have proved small businesses are just as tech savvy and innovative as larger businesses.
“The breadth of entrants and finalists show that innovative use of IT can add value to a successful business in any sector,”he said.
“The 10 finalists in the 2009 award are a testament to the world leading use of technology by Australian small business across a wide range of industries.”
The winner of the 2009 Dell Small Business Excellence Award will be announced on September 22 and will then go on to represent Australia against 12 other national winners in the 2009 Global Dell Small Business Excellence Award in the US.
