Queensland will host Carbon Market Expo Australasia 2008, Australia’s first expo wholly dedicated to carbon-related technology and services. The expo will be a mixture of conference and trade show featuring keynote speakers, panel sessions, workshops and a showcase of clean-tech specialists.
“The new Australian Government’s commitment to the introduction of an Australian Emissions Trading Scheme paves the way for an economically efficient way of achieving reduced national greenhouse gas emissions, and opens a great diversity of business and investment opportunities for those interested in providing products and services to the emerging carbon market,” says Anna Bligh, Queensland Premier.
Speakers include a combination of government and private sector presenters such as Minister for Climate Change and Water Penny Wong, Queensland Minister for Sustainability, Climate Change and Innovation Andrew McNamara and Environment Business Australia CEO Fiona Wain.
