Riding off the success of the first Smart Breakfast Seminars, held in October of last year, Smart 2009 Conference has announced the next seminars in the series to take place in February, focusing on efficient logistic strategies during a recession.
The seminars, presented by Dr Chris Dubelaar and David Goad, will focus on the relationship between business, industry and performance and how a new approach to business can drive greater efficiency and effectiveness across business structure, conduct and performance.
Dr Chris Dubelaar, Professor of Marketing, Bond University Queensland, will focus on challenging the concept that there is only one way to run a logistics operation with “The NEW Logic of Logistics: Why ‘Best Practise’ isn’t always best” and why businesses should optimise their operations independently of competitors.
The second seminar, conducted by David Goad, director for Microsoft Dynamics in APAC, will focus on the hot topic of the current financial climate with “Weathering the Storm: Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management during a recession.”
According to Smart 2009 Organising Committee chairman, Warwick Hughes, the seminars will deliver sound advice to business on how to ride out the financial crisis.
“Both presentations promise to give attendees an entirely new way of looking at their logistics operations, and help them prepare for any financial instability that the future may bring.”
The seminars will take place on Wednesday 25 February at Park Hyatt Melbourne, and Thursday 26 February at Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney. For more information, or to register online, visit www.smartconference.com.au
