Office 365 launched for businesses of any size

Microsoft has announced the good news that Office 365, its newest cloud productivity and collaboration service for businesses of all sizes, is now available worldwide.

Available for purchase through Telstra’s T Suite service or through Microsoft Enterprise Agreements, Office 365 incorporates Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Exchange Online and Microsoft Lync Online into an up-to-date cloud service, all for a small monthly subscription.

Using the Microsoft tools that millions of people are familiar with, Office 365 doesn’t require a business to change the way it works and provides a service for employees to work together in new ways from anywhere in the world using any internet-enabled device.

“Through Office 365, the very smallest organisations can now access the most sophisticated, enterprise class collaboration tools for a price per user, per month that is roughly the cost of a sandwich. The playing field has truly been leveled,” Microsoft Australia Information Worker Business Group Director Oscar Trimboli said.

The rise of social media has changed the culture of communications, with employees calling for more personalised and immediate ways of communicating at work. Microsoft said its Office 365 has met this need by providing video calling, instant messaging, virtual meetings, desktop sharing and the ability to work on documents at the same time. This allows more people to communicate in real time while working from home.
Telstra will be the exclusive reseller of Office 365 to all other Australian customers.

Businesses can sign up for a 30-day complimentary trial at http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/office365/online-software.aspx or  http://www.telstra.com/business/office365
