New partnership to drive digital growth for Victorian retailers

Megantic, an eCommerce-focused Organic Search (SEO) agency in Australia, has joined forces with Deakin University.

This partnership aims to revolutionise the online presence of Victoria’s retailers by providing them with the expertise and tools required to distinguish themselves in the highly competitive and rapidly expanding eCommerce industry. The objective is to increase online traffic and sales for these retailers.

The Deakin-Megantic eCommerce Accelerator Program, supported by the Victorian Higher Education State Investment Fund (VHESIF), is a joint initiative aimed at improving the competitive edge of medium-sized online retail businesses in both domestic and international markets through advanced eCommerce strategies.

Eligible companies can receive vouchers worth up to AU$50,000 to support their participation in the program, with a minimal co-contribution.

The program will be customised for each company, covering essential areas like technical support and implementation, competitor analysis, eCommerce strategy, cybersecurity awareness, digital marketing, and other related topics.

A new report indicates that online retail sales in Australia are projected to increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.5 per cent from 2022 to 2026, thanks to a growing number of consumers embracing eCommerce resulting in a market size of AU$103.1 billion by 2026.

With the support of the Victorian Government, the partnership forged between Deakin University and Megantic provides an opportunity for more businesses in Victoria to take advantage of this trend.

Victoria’s Minister for Training and Skills, Higher Education, and Agriculture, Gayle Tierney said, “We’re proud to invest in programs that create new job opportunities for Victorians, support Victorian businesses to develop digital expertise and ensure they are equipped to remain competitive on the global stage in the future.”

Megantic General Manager Jeremy Hanger said, “We are delighted to be partnering with one of Australia’s leading educational institutions to help Victorian businesses gain a stronger competitive edge in the eCommerce space.

“The eCommerce Accelerator Program will supply the knowledge, training and best-practice SEO to maximise website traffic and sales, supporting Victorian businesses in driving growth in a digital-first world.

“We feel tremendously grateful to have the Victorian Government’s support so we can help these businesses thrive in today’s competitive and fast-evolving landscape.”

Registrations for the Deakin-Megantic eCommerce Accelerator Program close 31 March 2023. Register interest here at https://accelerate.megantic.com.au or visit www.megantic.com.au for more information.
