Mobile internet sites are proving to be quite popular with Australian consumers, according to results from the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association’s (AIMIA) 2nd Mobile Traffic Trend Report.
The report covers Australian mobile traffic data across mobile internet sites from October 2008 to March 2009. The report found that page views of Australian mobile internet sites in Australia grew 24.4 percent during the six month period, with new mobile devices such as the iPhone helping to change the ways consumers browse content online.
The results of the report validate the move by Australian consumers towards mobile media channels for breaking news, sport, entertainment and other digital content and services.
