Dominating its competitors by enjoying 153,000 more visitors than it closest rival in June, LivingSocial has taken the number one position in the competitive daily deals market.
A recent Nielsen report has revealed that in just nine months LivingSocial was able to obtain monopolistic power in its market.
“It’s not hard to see why we are the best in the business; our localized deals are a win for both consumers and merchants,” LivingSocial ANZ CEO Colin Fabig said.
“Shoppers are able to get out and about and try new services in convenient locations while business owners can market their business within the community.”
According to a report by Telsyte, group buying sites are the internet’s fastest growing sector with a 72 percent increase in retail sales over the last three months.
“We are consolidating our position as leader in an expanding market, growing our subscriber base to 1.5 million through constant innovation. Our latest product to launch, LivingSocial Families resulted in 15, 000 new subscribers in its first week,” Fabig added
LivingSocial Families, which offers deals to families and friends for a week allowing time to organise the next holiday or day out with family, is available now.
