Aussie cricket fans can now watch live coverage of their favourite matches on their iPhone, with the introduction of the new Cricket LIVE iPhone application.
2ergo, a provider of mobile enabling technology for marketing, business, media and entertainment, has been commissioned by Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA) to develop Australia’s first ever live streaming application for the iPhone.
The new Cricket LIVE iPhone application provides sport mad Aussies on the 3 and Vodafone networks with live streaming on their Apple iPhone of every Australian international cricket match in the 2009/2010 season – including International Test Matches, One day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals.
The application also includes live scores, ball-by-ball commentary, push notifications of Fall of Wickets and Cricket Australia TV Videos with player interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
Amanda Hutton, general manager, internet and services, Vodafone Hutchison Australia, said that they are “excited to bring yet another first to the Australian market – live streaming of one of the nation’s favourite sports – direct to our customers’ fingertips.”
The Cricket LIVE iPhone application is available for everyone in Australia to download from the Apple App Store for $1.19 to access score up dates, running commentary and match reports. Vodafone and 3 customers can buy a Cricket TV Day Pass at a cost of $2.49 per day to enable access to the live stream.
