Kiandra IT named Microsoft Partner of the Year Finalist

Kiandra IT has been named a Partner of the Year Finalist in the Microsoft Australia Partner Awards, enjoying two nominations in the Software Development category for its cloud-based solutions.

The winners will be named at the Microsoft Australia Partner Conference at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre between 23 and 25 August.

Kiandra Director of Software Development Martin Cooperwaite, said the company is “incredibly pleased” and “excited by the positive impact (its) software provides to customers”.

Kiandra’s first nomination is for its cloud-based custom software solution Corporate Group Tree. The software was developed for FinSuite, a company which provides interactive financial relationship modelling to the financial and insurance sectors. The software solution uses complex algorithms to review millions of possible options simultaneously to deliver a relationship model in less than a second. It is simple to understand, can be altered in real time, and sold 620 licenses in the first 24 hours after its launch to one of the major four banks.

The second nomination was for its cloud-based software Water Watch, developed for the Department of Sustainability and Environment. It enables over 2,700 scientists, government officials and volunteers to collect and record water-health data in the field to improve the environmental conditions of Victorian waterways and help identify and confront any issues or dangerous health risks.

“The two solutions were from quite different verticals – the first a self-funded startup, the other a Government department focused on environmental sustainability, showcasing the diversity of our business,” Cooperwaite added.

Cooperwaite gives credit to the whole team at Kiandra for the success.

“Our people don’t just have outstanding skills, they are truly passionate professionals who care about the work they do and strive to achieve the best outcomes for customers.”

Kiandra also came 16th on the 2011 BRW Best Places to Work list and was a finalist in the Panasonic Medium Business Award category in the Telstra Business Awards.
