High hopes for new COSBOA CEO

For once, I’m not whingeing. In fact I’m delighted to find out about the appointment of COSBOA’s new CEO, the young politician Jaye Radisich, today. She promises to bring a fresh energy to tackle small business issues and, at such challenging times economically, it couldn’t be a better time to have a politician at the helm.

The Council of Small Business Organisations of Australia (COSBOA), is the peak representative body for small business and its influence shouldn’t be underestimated. I’m sure, like every organisation, it’s aware it needs to move with the times and stay modern, engaging and reflective of its membership.

Ms Radisich is a prominent former member of the Western Australian Parliament and was the youngest woman ever to be appointed to it; an impressive legacy indeed for a woman who is still only 32. Whoever said there was a glass ceiling for women in this country?

Richard Brooks, who will Chair the board, is rightly thrilled to have her involved with COSBOA.
