Griffith University will host a GFC symposium in September to discuss the origins of the global financial crisis, responses and the impact on investment risk.
The symposium entitled: Vale Lehman Brothers: The Two Year Anniversary of the Global Financial Crisis – Are the Green Shoots Really Rising? will cover responses to the crisis, along with some of the key issues facing investors in today’s climate.
A number of guest speakers will present at the symposium, including Professor Michael Drew, who is known for his research on superannuation investment models, with his presentation, ‘From the Sublime to Subprime: Adventures in Financial Innovation’; and Griffith University Adjunct Professor Martin Fahy with his talk ‘Global Financial Crisis – Impactions for Financial Services in Australia’.
The free event is open to all and will be held in Brisbane on September 10 from 5.30pm – 9:30 pm at Function Room (Level 2), The Ship Inn, Griffith University South Bank campus, 226 Grey Street, South Bank.
