Business owners ready for a profitable 2010
A new survey has found that not only have the majority of Australia’s small and medium business owners survived through the global economic crisis but they are expecting a profitable 2010.
According to Reckon’s 2009 Annual Business Survey, 63 percent of business owners said their business performance was either unchanged or had improved during the crisis, while 30 percent reported they were better off today than pre-global financial crisis.
Further to this, 72 percent expect 2010 to be more profitable than 2009 and are optimistic about sales going into the New Year.
“Australia’s resilience throughout the financial crisis has been well documented,” Gavin Dixon, CEO of Reckon Limited’s Business Division said. “It is clear that business owners have strong business practices in place and they’ve have been able to rely on them to minimise the impact of the downturn.”
