A new survey released by Australia- wide Business Training has revealed that many Australian businesses are unaware of the Federal Government’s Incentives for Higher Technical Skills Initiative (IHTS) and that they could be eligible for funding to support a variety of learning and development initiatives.
IHTS is an initative that aims to increase the opportunities for Asutralian businesses to develop a more entrepreneurial workforce and help employees to upgrade and enhance their professional workplace skills.
In reponse to this lack of awareness, Australian-wide Business Training has appointed a specialist to help their clients gain access the funding and implement programs that will enhance the skills, competency and capacity of their workers.
According to Australian-wide Business Training chief executive, Larry Gould, businesses will benefit greatly from the funding.
“More businesses are realising that new production methods, client service structures, workforce skills and business frameworks will be required if they are to benefit from the opportunities and potential available to them in the future.”
