Nominations for the Veuve Clicquot Businesswoman of the Year 2012 opened on International Women’s Day on Tuesday.
The award recognises the extraordinary achievements of entrepreneurial businesswomen; innovators, risk takers, leaders and visionaries, with a commitment to corporate and social responsibility.
The award was established in France in 1972 as a tribute to Madame Clicquot. It champions the success of women worldwide in the field of business and honors those who reflect the values of Mme Clicquot: her spirit of enterprise, courage and tenacity.
Last year, Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton of Sass & Bide, jointly won the Australian award. Now the hunt is on for the 2012 winner, with nominations now open at www.veuveclicquotaward.com.au.
As well as the prestigious title, the winner will be flown business class to France to join the Veuve Clicquot 2012 International Forum.
