First Australian airport hotel for business people on the go

Business travellers can now land in Sydney, and expect to be sitting at a conference room within minutes of leaving the airport.

Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel, a 4.5 star and 318 room development is set to open at the international terminal on Friday 10 May. This is Sydney’s first on-site airport hotel and will create a convenient and unique event space for local and foreign business people to hold meetings and events.

There are 11 flexible conference rooms with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment, video conferencing facilities, broadband and Wi-Fi access. Although it is right next to the terminal, special glass has been installed to allow users to enjoy the direct views of the runway in peace.

Tish Nyar, General Manager for Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel explains: “The hotel is set to be a hub not just for travellers, but also interstate and overseas business guests. Being conveniently located just ten minutes from Sydney CBD by train and right next to the international terminal building, the hotel is the perfect location for people coming to Sydney and looking for somewhere to hold a meeting or function that is more easily accessible than the usual Sydney venues and offers great parking rates.”

Rydges is latching on a new trend whereby small businesses are switching from leased office spaces to serviced offices to cut costs. The hotel’s Quick Meets package is best suited for those arriving at the airport and needing a space to meet for a few hours. It gives guests a flexible, short-term solution to their meeting and conferencing needs.

Rydges Hotels & Resorts is part of the Amalgamated Holdings Limited (AHL), one of Australia’s premier entertainment, hospitality and leisure companies. AHL’s other assets include QT Hotels and Resorts, Thredbo Alpine Resort, State Theatre Sydney, Event Cinemas, Greater Union Cinemas, Birch Carroll & Coyle Cinemas and Germany’s largest cinema circuit, Cinestar.

Bookings are now open. For further information, visit www.rydges.com/sydneyairport or call 02 9313 2500
