Family bathroom business celebrates 30th anniversary

Candana Designs has just turned 30, and the family business is celebrating by taking a look back at it’s history of designing high-quality residential and commercial bathrooms across Australasia.

According to Managing Director Marc Reed, the business has been in family hands since the very beginning, with various family members contributing to its growth and longevity.

“Because of this approach we have built so many strong relationships with leading Interior Designers, Architects and consumers – the grandchildren of our earlier clients are now coming in for new business,” he said.

Candana’s flagship showroom is located in the Sydney suburb of Woollahra and it’s second showroom is in Brookvale, both of which display products from Hansgrohe, Grohe, Villeroy and Boch, Duravit, Omvivo, Boyd, Laufen and Kaldewei. The business promises to find a bathroom solution for any customer budget.

“We also work very closely with manufacturers and importers advising them on market demands, and we attend many of the major overseas exhibitions to keep up with the latest design trends,” Reed added.

One of the business’ highlights has been the development of its new website, which launched earlier this year. It allows consumers to view an extensive range of products online, read industry news, handy hints as well as the latest product launches

It also enables architects, interior designers and builders to log into the specifiers’ tab and create an online product specification list, complete with product dimensions and pricing.

“We recognised the need in the industry for this service a while ago and have been working hard to make it as comprehensive as possible.”

“We want to save our clients time and make this section as easy to select product, as it is for them when they are in the showroom. Many of our designers work late into the night, which is when they are most creative and now they can complete the task with our detailed online specifier’s section.  We are very excited about it, as it will be an industry first.”
