In order to help businesses survive the economic downturn, the Queensland Government has launched a new website that enables small businesses to assess different areas of their business through a series of quizzes.
The website, Queensland Smart Small Business contains a variety of free tools to help businesses understand the strengths and weaknesses of their business. Quizzes include: Surviving economic challenges, climate change, dispute resolution, improving profitability, environmental management, privacy and information management, recruiting, managing and developing staff, product and service warranties, winning new business, selling to government, workplace health and safety, and doing business online.
The QLD Government is urging business owners to take the time out to assess how well the business is operating, by asking the following questions:
- Am I performing better or worse than my competitors?
- Is my business improving over time?
- Are there any simple actions I can take to improve my performance?
- Am I complying with regulations?
