NAB extends support to small business

In order to extend further support to their small business customers, NAB is employing additional staff in its Strategic Business Services (SBS) division.

According to NAB group executive for business banking Joseph Healy, 70 percent of businesses who enter the SBS process, continue to have viable business models and are supported through a turnaround process.

“Supporting our business customers through changing market conditions is part of how we do business at NAB. Our bankers maintain a regular dialogue with customers to ensure we have the right support in place to help them navigate their business through the current environment.”

Support services provided through the SBS division include support for client’s cash flow and risk management advice.

Mr Healy said NAB are dedicated to providing assistance for small businesses experiencing financial difficulty in such a tough economic climate.

In addition to this NAB is hosting a series of breakfast seminars for businesses across the country over the coming month. The NAB Business Breakfast Seminar Series, Get Better Connected, will offer businesses the opportunity to share knowledge and strategies on doing business in the current economic climate and network with other local businesses. The first seminar, on Tuesday 19th May, is being held in Melbourne.
