Google launches new user dashboard
Google has announced the launch of Google Dashboard, a new feature allowing users to view and control data associated with their Google Accounts.
By going to Google Dashboard, users can see in one place a summary of the data in all the Google products they use. Users can manage the data and change the settings. One feature of the Google Dashboard is the Web History feature, which saves all online search history and can be accessed at anytime, to provide more personalised search results.
“We think of this as a great step towards giving you transparency and control over your data, and we hope this helps shape the way the industry thinks about these issues,” said Alan Noble, head of engineering, Google Australia and New Zealand. “It’s important to know what data you have online and to be able to manage that data–Google Dashboard should help to make this a reality.”
