The Opposition is demanding Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and Climate Change Minister Penny Wong hold daily press conferences to explain how the emissions trading scheme (ETS) will work.
Opposition frontbencher Tony Abbott says voters have been kept in the dark about the controversial emissions trading scheme, and the government have some explaining to do.
“What we need is for Kevin Rudd and for Penny Wong to face up to interrogation,” he told reporters in Canberra today.
“(They) should face up to press conferences day in and day out and explain chapter and verse … exactly what their emissions trading scheme will do.”
