Vodafone Australia Limited and Hutchison 3G Australia Pty Limited, today moved to reassure customers that they would not be punished following the proposed merger of the two companies, receiving either the same or better value deals.
Both companies have confirmed that in the event of a merger, new and existing customers on contracts with either carrier will still enjoy the same great value on their mobile and data plans for the next two years.
Nigel Dews, CEO of 3 and proposed CEO of VHA (new merger name), said: “We operate in a fast-moving market and we want to be clear that, following the merger, Vodafone and 3 will remain extremely competitive and continue to provide great value to customers.”
A decision is expected to be made on Friday as to whether the merger will go ahead.
