Following Access Economics Business Outlook report that pointed to the NSW economy as the worst performing in the country, the NSW Business Chamber has today announced a campaign to improve the NSW economy.
The campaign, NSW: Reclaiming 1st is aimed at re-energising public policy debate in NSW.
“Business wants NSW to lead from the front. This can only be achieved through bold reform,” said Patricia Forsythe, spokesperson for the NSW: Reclaiming 1st campaign.
The campaign will seek out the opinions of the best and brightest in business, government and the community to develop policies to turn the state around. On the agenda: improving infrastructure, boosting the economy, reducing the burden on business and reforming government.
“The economic fortunes of NSW have been stifled by a reform agenda that has been missing in action. We’ll be advocating solutions designed to grow the economy, reduce the red tape burden, boost infrastructure and reform government, said Forsythe.
