Entries are now open for the 2009 Australian Event Awards to commend business innovation, excellence and bring together the Australian Events Industry.
Entries are open for those involved in the planning, management and delivery of events staged from the 1 July 2008 and 30 June 2009.
The Australian Event Awards recognises and rewards achievement across all sectors of the industry regardless of event type, size or association. The event also recognises sustainability and Australian excellence in event exports.
Sandy Hollway, former CEO of the Sydney Organising Committee for the 2000 Olympic Games said the intention of the Australian Event Awards is to “acknowledge and reward excellence in all aspects of the industry, from the major events to the smaller, community events.”
Holloway also added the Awards are a way to unite the sector to work together and make global connections.
