Thirty video clips, discussing international business issues and market information are now available on Austrade’s website for tech-savvy business students to access.
Austrade has created the clips in hopes students will find them more engaging than print material and voluntarily choose to view them. The clips are also being used as lecture material, and some lecturers are assigning students viewing homework.
"The new resources are designed to teach students about the potential for Australian products and services overseas and encourage them to consider exporting," says Leigh Derigo, manager of Austrade’s Education Programs Unit. "The case studies come directly from Australian business success stories that are most likely to inspire our future entrepreneurs."
Each clip covers exporting issues, which specific small and medium Australian businesses have faced. The clips, part of the Austrade Exporting for the Future program, were taken from previous longer video case studies.
Also recently launched by Austrade is Next Step the World Series 2: Exporting and International Business. The multimedia resource kit includes a DVD on small global business case studies and a booklet of teaching notes.
