Global online accounting system provider Xero has today announced that it has chosen Akamai as the online technology provider for the New Zealand based company.
Akamai has a network of 65,000 servers in over 71 countries around the world, enabling companies and organisations to enable companies to store content on more locally situated servers for their users.
This will result in an improved online efficiency of 235 per cent in New Zealand, as well as 241 per cent in Australia and 184 per cent in the US.
Country manager of Akamai ANZ Ian Teague was excited about the new partnership.
“Working with business and technology leaders like Xero is always a great experience because we understand the importance of customer satisfaction when it comes to Internet performance.”
Rod Drury, CEO of Xero stated that the partnership would be crucial in the further success and expansion of the company internationally.
“Akamai ensures that the Business application on our site is always available, regardless of the cable cuts and disruptions to services that may take place around the world and under the oceans, which is essential for our business.”
