Voyager Travel announces itinerary integration with TripIt

Australian travel management company Voyager Travel Corporation, has announced that its travel itineraries are now fully compatible with TripIt, the leading travel itinerary and trip planning software for the web and smartphones.

“Voyager Travel Corporation clients can now take full advantage of TripIt’s extensive range of travel planning and management services by simply emailing or requesting their travel consultant to forward their itineraries to TripIt,” explained Richard Savva, CEO of Voyager Travel Corporation. “Once the itineraries are sent to TripIt, Voyager Travel Corporation travellers have all aspects of their flight, accommodation and car hire bookings through Voygaer available to them on the web or directly on their iPhone, Blackberry or Android smartphones.”

TripIt, which is available in several versions, allows travellers to organise their various travel requirements into one master itinerary.  TripIt also synchronises with most personal and corporate calendar applications such as Outlook, Lotus Notes and Google allowing travellers to view all of their travel details on their main calendar without having to cut and paste entries between applications.

“Voyager Travel Corporation provides its clients with the very latest technologies to help drive travel program efficiencies and ensure compliance with corporate travel policies,” stated Savva. “TripIt, in conjunction with our Mobile Travel Assist solution from ConTgo, ensures we can reach travellers wherever they are and that their travel plans are documented and available to share with colleagues and travel procurement personnel within their organisation.”

In the near future, TripIt will be tightly integrated with Voyager Travel Corporation’s Serko booking system to allow travel consultants and procurement managers booking online to automatically send travel itineraries to TripIt directly from the Serko online tool and also to appropriate personnel within the organisation.

“Since TripIt integrates with social networking sites such as LinkedIn and Facebook, overseas and interstate colleagues will be aware of when someone is travelling in their area, allowing clients to maximise their opportunities for meetings and catching up with business partners,” explained Savva. “This in turn leads to greater travel efficiencies and is another way that Voyager Travel Corporation makes the most of leading edge technology to deliver value to our customers.”
