With international airfares at their cheapest level in more than 10 years, and with the stimulus dollars flowing into bank accounts, budget conscious Aussies have been throwing caution to the wind and booking great holidays, without travel insurance.
Edith Fink from ARTOG.com.au, a free online service that compares Australian travel insurances side by side has warned Aussie travellers to be careful and to ensure that they are protected by taking out travel insurance.
“While a budget holiday is a fantastic escape during these uncertain economic times, travellers must be careful.”
“The cheapest airfares available are often to nations that are politically unstable, like Fiji and Thailand, places where it’s especially important you protect yourself and make sure you’re covered.”
