Super fund are continuing to gain ground, recording the sixth consecutive month of growth since February, new research has revealed.
Superannuation research and consultancy firm Chant West has revealed the typical fund rose 6.9 percent in the first two months of the financial year, and 15.3 percent over the past six months.
Commenting on the positive figures, Chant West principal, Warren Chant, said: “Most fund members will have just received their annual statements showing significant losses for the 2008/09 year, but at least funds now have an opportunity to communicate some good news.”
Economic commentators are now confident that the worst of the global financial crisis is over.
