River City Labs has unveiled its Elevating Female Founders Program, aimed at empowering female entrepreneurs in Queensland, Australia, to turn their ideas into reality.
The initiative, introduced during the Something Tech festival in Brisbane, offers a comprehensive eight-month support program for emerging technology companies.
Key Highlights:
- Open to twenty female founders based in Queensland.
- Program features structured mentoring, coaching, education workshops, industry connections, and Entrepreneur In Residence support.
- Participants also receive a 12-month digital membership to River City Labs.
Pauline Fetaui, Director of ACS Innovation Labs, emphasized the program’s unique approach, stating, “We’re meeting the founders where they are, with leadership from fellow female founders and mentors.”
The program welcomes female founders at various stages of their business journey, from early-stage ideas to established startups.

Program Eligibility:
- Open to female founders residing in Queensland, Australia.
- Must operate a tech startup with high growth potential.
- Applicants must dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week for the first 4 months and 10 hours per fortnight for the subsequent 4 months.
- Travel to Brisbane, Australia may be required twice between July and August 2024.
Program Details:
- Duration: 8 months, with the first four months being more structured.
- Two streams: early-stage (Pre-Product) and later-stage (Post-Product) companies.
- Benefits include workshops, industry connections, mentoring, and access to RCL resources.
Successful applicants will be invited to join the program, and all applicants will receive timely notifications regarding their status. Twenty successful applicants will be part of this intake’s Elevating Female Founders Program.
