007 Venture Partners has launched a new AUD$5 million early-stage fund to support founders building solutions to humanity’s greatest challenges.
In 2017, Bond Sudarta, then an Airbnb operator, joined a small group at the San Francisco home of Airbnb cofounder Joe Gebbia for OneAirbnb, an annual employee gathering. Gebbia issued a bold challenge: embrace radical entrepreneurship and leave Airbnb to create greater impact. His advice to Sudarta, “Take the next step, and do it — fast,” followed by a personal follow-up a week later, ignited a lifelong passion for supporting founders solving urgent global problems.
“I’ve seen what’s possible when you back people who care deeply about the world,” said Sudarta. “The most valuable companies I’ve worked with were led by founders who had heart, hustle, and a deep sense of purpose. That’s who we’re looking for.”
Now, Sudarta leads 007 Venture Partners, a new AUD$5 million early-stage fund launched to empower purpose-driven founders. With a transpacific focus spanning the U.S., Australia, India, Southeast Asia, and emerging markets, the fund invests in startups tackling humanity’s biggest challenges, from healthcare and fintech to climate solutions and education. Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals, 007 Venture Partners seeks to drive both impact and returns.
Beyond capital, the fund offers hands-on support. Connected to over 30 founder communities, including Y Combinator and Airbnb’s alumni network, it reviews thousands of deals annually and co-invests with world-class firms like Sequoia, a16z, Lightspeed, and Accel. Its limited partners and advisors, drawn from Airbnb, Meta, Uber, and LinkedIn, bring operational expertise to help startups scale. This founder-first, operator-driven approach distinguishes 007, with Sudarta and his team actively building alongside portfolio companies.
“We care about people who are building something bigger than themselves,” says Bond. “If you’re purpose-driven, if you’ve got grit, if you’re creating something that the world needs—we want to hear from you.”
007 Venture Partners plans to back 15 to 30 early-stage startups, prioritizing transformative solutions that address pressing global needs. Backed by a diverse group of operators, founders, and investors from APAC and the U.S., the fund leverages Sudarta’s Airbnb experience and global network to amplify founders’ success. After Airbnb, Sudarta explored various ventures, but his excitement for supporting the next generation of purpose-driven entrepreneurs led to the creation of 007 Venture Partners.
The fund’s mission is ambitious yet clear: support startups that solve critical problems while fostering sustainable growth. Its transpacific scope ensures portfolio companies can tap into high-growth markets, addressing local and global challenges. Whether improving healthcare access, empowering small businesses, transforming education, or combating climate change, 007 Venture Partners seeks founders with vision, grit, and a commitment to impact.
007 Venture Partners invites founders, investors, and community partners to join its journey. Whether you are launching a startup, seeking meaningful investment opportunities, or passionate about mission-led innovation, the fund is ready to collaborate and build ventures that endure.
Founded by Bond Sudarta, 007 Venture Partners redefines early-stage investing by blending purpose with profitability.
