EnergyLab, Boomerang Labs, and Climate-KIC Australia have officially launched applications for ClimateLaunchpad 2025 for cleantech and green business ideas.
This year’s program will focus on identifying innovative solutions to address climate change across Australia. ClimateLaunchpad offers aspiring innovators, entrepreneurs, and researchers the tools to transform green business ideas and clean technologies into global enterprises. The competition provides participants with intensive training, mentorship, and the opportunity to pitch their ideas to an international panel of experts. The Australian winner will also receive sponsorship to compete in the European Global Pitch Final later this year.
How it works
- Learn everything you need to start your green business. ClimateLaunchpad begins with an intensive boot camp and follow-up coaching sessions.
- Present your pitch deck at the Australian and Global Pitch Finals. Impress our jury, and you’ll be ready to impress any investor or client.
- Winners receive both national and international prizes, but the real reward is the networking opportunities and the chance to connect with your first customer or investor.
Chris Lee, CEO of Climate-KIC Australia, emphasised the program’s importance: “We see enormous potential in Australia for uncovering impactful climate startups. With our thriving innovation ecosystems and leadership in sustainability, we are uniquely positioned to support EnergyLab in building startups that will drive the transition to a net-zero economy.”
Now in its eleventh year globally and seventh year in Australia, ClimateLaunchpad has helped over 7,000 ideas come to life, creating more than 9,000 jobs within 2,000 new companies worldwide. The program is free of charge and does not take any equity or intellectual property from participants. Climate-KIC Australia is pleased to be partnering with EnergyLab and Boomerang Labs to deliver the program in 2025 in Australia. As part of the program, a three day bootcamp and pitch event will be run in Sydney, and successful interstate applicants must organise their own travel for the events.
Megan Fisher, CEO & Director at EnergyLab, added: “ClimateLaunchpad is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with an early-stage business idea focused on the green economy. The program equips participants with the skills and knowledge they need to turn their ideas into successful startups. We’re excited to see the innovative solutions that will emerge from this year’s competition and look forward to collaborating with Climate-KIC Australia and Boomerang Labs to deliver the 2025 program.”. Piers Grove, Executive Director at Boomerang Labs: “ClimateLaunchpad is an incredible platform for fresh ideas to emerge and take flight. We’re thrilled to help uncover the next wave of innovators who will drive Australia’s transition to a low-carbon, circular economy.”
