Fusitsu has partnered with the Australian Treasury to support the Government’s Standard Business Reporting (SBR) initiative, designed to reduce the regulatory reporting burden on Australian businesses.
SBR will simplify business-to-government reporting and save Australian businesses approximately $800 million annually when fully implemented.
Fujitsu has been selected for the SBR initiative to supply and support Interstage XWand software, a custom technology development by Fujitsu Japan.
In a contract valued at approximately $4 million over an initial 2 year period, Fujitsu’s Interstage XWand software is available to be used by both government agencies and software developers to produce XBRL enabled financial applications that will reduce the business reporting burden for Australian businesses.
Commenting on the partnership, Michael Blake, group executive director, Fujitsu Australia said: “We are excited to be exploring new business opportunities to leverage our footprint with the SBR project and to further assist operational efficiencies for all Australian businesses.”
