The Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities (APPA) have announced Privacy Awareness Week will take place on May 3 – 9 across the Asia Pacific, with a theme of “Privacy: where do you draw the line?” and are encouraging all businesses to attend.
The Week will see a variety of programs and initiatives hosted by public and private sector organisations from across the Asia-Pacific region to promote awareness of privacy rights and responsibilities within the workplace, including a “Privacy in Practice” seminar in Sydney, the release of the publication “Privacy Matters” and the launch of the 2009 Australian Privacy Awards.
