Ali Baba franchise celebrates 30th birthday

From a small kebab shop in 1979, to the largest Australian franchise of it’s kind boasting 60 outlets, Ali Baba has come a long way in 30 years.

Ali Baba now serves over 4 million customers per year and has increased profits two-fold. In 30 years Ali Baba has sold over 30 million K’Babs and Wraps, and according to chief executive officer, Robert Marjan, the franchise is set to increase it’s stores by 100 percent over the next few years.

Marjan attributes the franchises success to their point of difference as the, “first Australian kebab retailer to develop a food court concept and the only major kebab outlet that is working with industry to improve the health and food standards of the category across the nation.”

Marjan believes that Ali Baba has come a long way in 30 years and in that time has had to “work hard to adapt to customers’ changing tastes and preferences.”
