Business analytics firm SAS has launched new software to help businesses fight fraud and uncover hidden relationships between consumers and social media data.
SAS® Social Network Analysis and SAS social media analysis solution allows businesses to delve deeper into the link between individuals and data, detect patterns and trends, and pinpoint suspicious individuals and transactions to stop additional fraud. SAS said the software will allow organisations to monitor negative comments that spread through social media sites, that can damage brand name and reputation.
According to Avivah Litan, vice president and distinguished analyst at Gartner, the social networking software enables businesses to not only fight fraud, but better understand customers and how they interact with social media.
“Social network analysis software can help companies delve deeper into their customer and transactional data to discover patterns, linkages and connections.”
