Small Business September just around the corner

For the very first time, Dynamic Business is sponsoring Small Business September, NSW’s premier event designed to assist businesses in their growth phase via hundreds of state-wide seminars, workshops and online webinars.

A NSW Government initiative in its 12th year, Small Business September delivers opportunities for small business to learn smart ways to grow and succeed, as well as update their knowledge, skills and extend their networks.

This year’s theme asks participants to see their business from a new perspective – which involves stepping back from the everyday routine of working in their business to working on their business.

“As Australia’s leading magazine and website for small business owners, Dynamic Business is delighted to be partnering with the state’s premier SME event. I’d encourage everyone to check out the website and attend some events and think about organising their own too. This year’s theme is ‘see your business from a different perspective’. I think most small business owners would admit they spend so much time in their business that they don’t see the overall picture very often. Sometimes it’s good to step back and spend some time on your business,” Dynamic Business Publisher and Editor Jen Bishop said.

What’s the difference? Working in your business means taking care of the daily things; the clients, the billing, the orders and the administration. Whilst working on your business involves stepping back and seeing how your business can improve, where you want your business to go, planning ahead, looking for opportunities to grow.

With around 300 mostly free events across NSW, participants will benefit from access to experts in a wide range of business disciplines including e-commerce, marketing and sales, human resources, financial planning, exporting and much more.

Small Business September 2011 is coordinated by Trade & Investment NSW and sponsored by Dynamic Business, Cumberland Courier Newspapers, Telstra Business, Westpac Banking Corporation, City of Sydney and Netregistry

The full calendar of Small Business September events will be available from Thursday 21 July at www.smallbusinessmonth.nsw.gov.au.
