Snap Franchising Linited (SFL) has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer, with current COO Stephen Edwards to take up the post from 1 November.

Outgoing CEO Grant Vernon will step down following Snap’s Annual General Meeting on 31 October, and will assist Edwards in making the transition up to that date.

Edwards is COO at Snap Franchising, and has been with the company for over 10 years.

According to Snap Franchising Chairman Alan Good, Vernon has delivered outstanding leadership and has been a major contributor to the company’s continued growth and success.

“The company is coming off a strong year and has an excellent underlying business which is set to go onwards and upwards thanks to the position Grant leaves it in,” Good said.

“The Board and shareholders of SFL express their sincere thanks to Grant. He has been with SFL for more than ten years and despite challenging market conditions the company has produced sound results during that time.”

The Board also announced that over the next six months, the company with transition its marketing, finance, legal and IT teams located in Perth to Sydney, where its sales and operations teams are located.

The move comes at Vernon’s suggestion, as he and the Board plan for the future growth of Snap. According to Vernon, the move is part of the evolution of Snap.

“Moving the current Perth functions to Sydney will enhance accessibility of the corporate team for most franchise owners and we believe being in the one location will also make our team more effective.”

“SFL is working with employees and franchises to communicate these changes and ensure all necessary support is provided during this transition.”
