Australian businesses are under a growing threat from cyber crime according to the first ever unclassified cyber security threat report.
The Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) released the Australian Cyber Security Centre Threat Report 2015 with the aim of achieving a more ‘cyber secure’ Australia.
The report warns that businesses must implement cyber security measures to increase the confidence of Australians when online and maximise the benefits of the internet for organisations.
The ACSC coordinator, Clive Lines said “The report provides an overarching view of cyber adversaries, what they want, and how they go about getting it from an ACSC perspective.”
The report offers advice on how businesses can defend themselves against cyber adversaries targeting Australian networks.
“We envisage the report will be a useful resource for organisations to start an informed conversation about protecting their vital information,” said Mr Lines.
