Joanne Parker appointed general manager of NIA NSW

The National Institute of Accountants (NIA) today announced the appointment of Joanne Parker as General Manager of NIA’s New South Wales divisional office.

Before joining the NIA, Joanne was employed by the Community Services and Health Industry Skills Council as Operations Manager where she was responsible for managing human resources, financial and operational functions. Prior to this, she has been employed as Finance Manager in small businesses and in the not for profit sector as the National Finance Manager and Company Secretary with Young Achievement Australia.

NIA’s chief executive officer Andrew Conway said, “Joanne is a welcomed addition to one of our largest divisions. NIA members will have the benefit of Joanne’s deep understanding of industry issues, having previously worked across accounting, marketing, events and operations.

“As an NIA member, she is a fantastic example of the high quality of members working across Australia and internationally. She is an experienced professional with a proven track record.”

Joanne holds a Master of Commerce (Organisation and Management) from the University of New South Wales and Associate Diploma (Accounting) from Sydney Institute Sutherland College.
