Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
1. Introduction
Dynamic Business (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use dynamicbusiness.com, our newsletters, and related services (the “Site”). We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. Information we collect
We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities, including:
- Account and contributor details — such as your name, email address, and any profile or biographical information you provide;
- Content you submit — articles, story tips, comments, images, and messages sent through our contact or advertising forms;
- Newsletter and marketing preferences — your email address and subscription status;
- Payment information — where you purchase advertising, payment is processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card details; and
- Usage and device data — collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and interactions, via cookies and analytics tools.
3. How we collect it
We collect information directly from you (for example, when you sign up, contribute content, subscribe, or contact us), automatically as you use the Site (through cookies and analytics), and occasionally from third parties such as our service providers. If you provide us with personal information about another person, you must have their consent to do so.
5. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- operate the Site and provide accounts and services;
- review, edit, and publish contributions, and attribute them where appropriate;
- send you newsletters and updates you have subscribed to (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- respond to your enquiries and manage advertising bookings;
- measure, analyse, and improve the Site and our content; and
- maintain security and comply with our legal obligations.
6. Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only where necessary, including to trusted service providers who help us run the Site — for example, hosting and infrastructure providers, our email/newsletter platform, our payment processor, and analytics providers — who are authorised to use it only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
7. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia (including in the United States). Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
8. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, after which we take reasonable steps to de-identify or securely destroy it.
9. Accessing and correcting your information
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete. To make a request, or to unsubscribe from marketing, please contact us. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
10. Children
The Site is intended for a business audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date. Material changes will be made prominent where appropriate.
12. Contact and complaints
If you have a question or a privacy complaint, please contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
